Joe Proctor

Joe Proctor is the President and CEO of Bellus Medical. With more than 15 years in medical aesthetics technologies and progressive sales development and training, Joe saw the opportunity to use his breadth of experience to create a company that could provide innovative, cutting edge technology to meet – and even exceed – the needs of the medical practices it serves. Steven Pal

Steven Pal is a general partner at PDC Transaction Partners, a general life science strategy and private placement investment firm. Previously, Steven was Corporate Vice President for Allergan, Inc., in Irvine, Calif., where he was responsible for strategic planning and management of Allergan’s pharmaceutical businesses including Ophthalmology, Neurosciences, Dermatology and Urologics as well as new technologies in Allergan’s research pipeline. Steven also served as Senior Vice President of Specialty Pharmaceuticals for Allergen where he handled sales and marketing management for the Botox and Dermatology businesses in the U.S.

Prior to joining Allergan, Steven had a successful 20-year career at Warner-Lambert Company where he held various key positions. He started his career with Warner-Lambert in 1981, after graduating from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with an M.B.A. as well as a BSc in Physiology. After successive sales and marketing positions, Steven moved to Hong Kong as Regional Marketing Director for SE Asia, followed by Vice President of Pharmaceutical/Consumer Healthcare Marketing for Latin America/Asia/ Australia/Africa, based in New Jersey. He then became Managing Director and President of Warner-Lambert Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.

Steven then moved back to the U.S. as Vice President of Strategic Planning and Information Management, and then as Vice President of the Parke-Davis Southeast Customer Business unit. In that capacity, he managed marketing teams, sales units and alliance partners focusing on important pharmaceutical brands such as Lipitor, Neurontin, Accupril and Celexa.

Steven serves on the Foundation Board as well as the Board of Trustees’ Finance Committee for Mission Hospital in Orange County, Calif.

Niv Caviar

Niv Caviar is a general partner of PDC Transaction Partners, a general life science strategy and private placement investment firm. He is also serving as Interim CEO of Aliviar Health Care, a remote health applications company, and Interim CEO of SpineOvations, a spinal minimally invasive medical device company. Previously he was President, CEO and on the Board of Directors for Suneva Medical, an integrated medical aesthetics company that manufacturers Artefill. Niv was also Executive Vice President, Chief Business Officer and Chief Financial Officer of La Jolla Pharmaceutical Company.

Prior to La Jolla, Niv served as Vice President and Head of Marketing for the medical dermatology business of Allergan, Inc. Brands under his responsibility included Tazorac and Botox. As Vice President of Business Development, he led deals and transactions across all therapeutic areas. Previously, Niv served in senior executive roles at Affymetrix, Immusol/ItherX and as a management consultant for Accenture.

Niv is a former U.S. Air Force officer andreceived a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Jason Dodd

As a Partner at HealthCap, Jason is responsible for the Company’s healthcare operating company investments and is also a member of HealthCap’s Investment Committee. He serves on the boards of BloodBuy, Bellus Medical and Urgent Care for Kids. Jason has had transactional responsibility for more than $750 million of projects with financing combinations of debt, mezzanine financing and equity. Additionally, he has structured asset and entity level joint venture transactions with some of the largest capital providers and financial institutions in the country.

Jason was formerly Managing Partner of HealthCap following its 2012 merger with The Cirrus Group where he served as President. He holds a B.B.A. from Texas A&M University and an M.B.A. from the Moore School at the University of South Carolina. Additionally, Jason serves on the board of Healing Hands Ministries, a medical and dental nonprofit clinic serving uninsured residents of Dallas County.
